How does it actually work on the construction site?
The construction site houses the terminal (a metal, weather resistant box). The terminal only needs a cable connected to a 230V electric outlet. The terminal is a device that senses the arrival and departure of workers using the cards. Data is sent wirelessly to our server to be processed every 10 minutes. You can see attendance details of your construction sites over the internet on a computer after logging in to our website
www.convision.cz
What does the terminal look like?
All terminals types are listed on the home page.
Why should we have the ConVision system at our sites?
There are several reasons:
-
The system records all people arriving at the construction site.
-
It immediately informs you about the current status of workers at a construction site.
-
The system monitors whether anyone has stayed at the construction site after working hours.
-
This can signal a search for the potentially injured and ensure treatment.
-
It also notifies you that perhaps someone hasn't checked himself out.
-
The electronic system is accessible from the internet and is therefore largely independent of what site foremen have written in their notebooks.
-
The system will facilitate the work of foremen with attendance lists which eliminates the need for sloppy, hand-written logging.
-
When used with a turnstile, the system prevents the entry of unauthorized personnel into buildings.
Does the system have added value?
This system is not only a recording, but helps the site foreman with management of the construction by compiling reports according to various criteria (i.e. according to profession). The site foreman can take stock of hours worked in each profession, then can compare the actual with the original assumption (calculations). After a quick evaluation, corrections can be made.
How does the system help company management?
-
It allows you to watch arrivals and departures of all personnel, including subcontractors on all sites you manage.
-
Enhances awareness of subordinates so they are controlled.
-
Most of all, it allows you to know what’s going on! Immediately.
Does the system help prevent site foremen from being late?
Absolutely. If a foreman is 30 minutes late, all 20 workers he directs are waiting for him which has a direct financial detriment. After installation of an attendance system, the foreman is careful to arrive on time to avoid potential punishment.
What does the system bring to foremen?
-
It will make the end of the month easier for them. They do not have to spend several days writing attendance lists instead of coming to the construction site. With ConVision, the lists are ready in an hour. The lists are ready in an hour.
-
Saved time can be spent performing other tasks, which otherwise would be left undone.
-
Over time, a foreman does not objectively remember attendance details. He would rather write in a shift than argue or embarrass himself in front of the subordinates.
Is it expensive? Is it worth it?
The ConVision system will save far more time and money that it will cost you. The system is priced at roughly 200 EUR per month.
In what way does the ConVision system improve security on the site?
It immediately informs you about the current status of workers at a construction site. The system monitors whether anyone has stayed at the construction site after working hours. This can signal:
-
Somebody is injured – I search the site and provide help.
-
Didn't check out – I search the site – assure, there is no one left. Wrongdoer(s)
will then have to pay for the false search.
Also, when used with a turnstile, the system prevents the entry of unauthorized personnel into buildings.
Do the subcontractors also have benefits from the system?
Yes. The system has a sophisticated system of access rights that serve everyone taking part in the construction. Subcontractors can see the system online in a limited way. You, in an elevated hierarchical position, can see everything without limitation. The subcontractor can only see his company and his subcontractors.
Is it right to allow access a subcontractor?
All managers should be interested to know whether their subordinates go to work on time.
Our subcontractors are our allies when dealing with the pressures of work volume and quality.
Can the system be used by security agencies and guard services?
Yes. If you provide them with access rights, the security employees can monitor the information
using their computer directly on the building site or at the security agency headquarters. The headquarters
may then inform the site security guard who can then perform a local investigation.
Can the system be used on smaller constructions?
Yes. There is an alternative option of a mobile phone with a built in NFC system (Near Field Communication; i.e. Nokia 6212).
This phone can be used to scan the access cards instead of the fixed terminal. After reading the card,
the data is submitted to the server and processed.
